It’s been a really hard couple of years for small businesses. It’s been a really hard couple of years for everyone. Local professionals have been struggling to adapt and make ends meet. They’ve been relying on the community to support them. As we see more and more businesses close, Parkbench Local Leaders are choosing to do something about it. One of these Local Leaders is Shane Kazimier, Real Estate Agent with Kenneth James Realty.
In a recent interview with Local Leader Shane Kazimier we discussed this. He’s currently interviewing local businesses in Westminster, CO. We asked him why he’s so passionate about supporting small businesses.
Let’s hear from him.
“It’s about noticing the difficulties these businesses are going through. These people worked their whole lives to get these restaurants or businesses up and running, it takes 15-20 years to get some stability. Then, something like this comes by which is very unfortunate. I think now more than ever, community and supporting local is more important than ever. We have people struggling, we have families. Instead of spending $20 on Amazon, go to a local store and spend $20 there. You’re helping their kid go to ballet class instead of helping Jeff Bezos get his first trillion dollars.”
People have poured their lives into their businesses. Now, more than ever, we need to band together to ensure we all make it past this chapter.
